Our Story
International AeroTech Academy Founded
A&P Mechanic Institute was originally founded in 2020 as International AeroTech Academy. International AeroTech Academy obtained its initial approval to conduct General and Airframe curriculum by the Federal Aviation Administration in October of 2021. Approval to conduct training for the Powerplant curriculum was granted in March of 2023.
Phoenix East Aviation Acquires International AeroTech Academy
Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) acquired International AeroTech Academy in September of 2025 and rebranded as A&P Mechanic Institute.
With over five decades of excellence, PEA stands as a distinguished, Nationally Accredited flight school dedicated to shaping the aviation dreams of aspiring pilots. With the acquisition of an Aviation Maintenance Technician training facility, Phoenix East Aviation now offers a complete aviation training curriculum.
Our Facilities
Located in Lakeland, FL, our campus features a fully equipped maintenance area with classrooms and all the equipment required to meet FAA certified training.
